Shri Arghya Chatterjee, an EDP- trained S & T entrepreneur (DST-NIMAT) successfully launched `MOZ WEB DEVELOPMENT in Dum Dum (North 24 Paragan district). It is a platform for complete business solutions, online and offline. It provides Website Designing Service, Graphics Design Services, Social Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing etc. His future business to give services in Android App Development, and ios App Development in 2017. Ms Banhi Dasgupta (SWAYAM: Garments – ladies and gents)
She started garments making business with her own finance after completion Fashion Garments Course from EDI sponsored by Society for Self-Employment of Unemployed Youth. Her unit has received EM-II from DIC and trade license from Municipality. She has artisan card and 5 nos skilled workers are working. She applied for PMEGP loan which would help her to expand her business. She participated in EDI Entrepreneurs Pavilion at 26th Industrial India Trade Fair with her products. Annual Turnover- Rs 14 lakh (aprox)

Sk. Jasimuddin:
He is a successful exporter, manufacturer and supplier of designer sarees. Product range: classical sarees, Dhakai jamdani, cotton tangail, block with kantha sitch dress materials, block with reserve kantha stitch, tant fabric sarees, tant banarasi sarees etc. He is also exporting to USA. Key customers in India are Naha Creative in Mumbai and Radha Krishna Textile in Chennai and Indian Handloom, Kolkata. He received Rs. 22-00 lakhs term loan from WBFC. 25 workers are there in his unit. Within 4/5 years, annual sales turnover crossed 1 core. Very good infrastructure and machineries added strength to the unit. This unit has SSI registration & PAN. Turnover- Rs 1 core . He received award at the AGM of BNCCI 2 years back as a potential entrepreneur.

Shri Ganesh Mishra (M/s Biswaguru AGS EXIM International)
This partnership firm was established by 4 other trainees of Export-oriented Floriculture and Horticulture Course -conducted by Enterprise Development Institute-Kolkata. After the training, they started exportingvegetables into Bangladesh. Now they have also started export onion to Dubai and Sri Lanka through Mumbai Port.

Mr Nahata started his entrepreneurship journey a year back with some partners and founded the company “FUNSCHOLAR”. Funscholar trains school children in Robotics and hands on experience to science concepts. It wants to change monotonous education system. At the end of the day school children are just mugging up the subjects for the sake of exams. So, this company found out the interesting way to teach school children through hands on experience. In past one year, they have reached out to more than 10,000 students all over west Bengal and now they are expanding nationwide expansion. This Company made good profit in the 1st year and made ROI in the span of 3 months. He did Export-Import Management Course conducted by EDI with NSOU

Avik Bhattacahrjee has undergone a 6-week entrepreneurship development programme for s& T persons under DST-NIMAT Project 2015-2016. He has taken LED lighting domain for his business during the training. Currently, he has been manufacturing and assembling LED home lighting which are 3W,5W,7W,9W & 12W respectively in REVONUS brand. His unit is located in Bally in Howrah district. In the coming years, his firm would introduce LED spotlight, Flood Light, LED Tube light & LED Street Light. REVONUS Ltd is marketing its products in Bardwan Birbhum, Bankura, Midnapur district.

Shri Dudh Kumar Giri (natureherbes.com; nature444u@gmail.com)
Dudh Kr Giri started herbal medicine manufacturing in Kakdwip in South 24 Pargana district after receiving EDP (DST-NIMAT) in 2012. He also did B.H.M from Indian Institute of Alternative Medicine. His Paradise Herbal Care Enterprise was started in 2013 and expanded its business in Purba and Paschim Medinipur, South 24 Paragana, and Burdwan districts. He received Rs. 12 lakhs cash credit loan from Bank of Baroda, Kakdwip branch. His current sales turnover exceeds Rs. 35 lakhs. The following products of his enterprise are very popular in the market: • Gastronil- to improve digestion system • Aironil- Harbal mosquito repellent and room refreshener • Asthijyoti- joint pain relief oil His products are being sold through direct sales as well as distribution network. He also received Export-Import Management course from EDI.

Syed Imtiage Ali (Skulex.com)
Syed Imtiage Alia software developer (MCA) joined EDP (DST-NIMAT) organized by EDI in 2015. After the training, he started a Private Limited Company in the name of SKULEX PRIVATE LIMITED at Salt Lake, Sector-4, Kolkata-98. His School Management Software received very good response from various schools in Burdwan, Hooghly, Murshidabad and some other districts. EDI is also providing support to market his products through its network.

Shri Nirmalya Sikdar (Founder of Safalaya.com; nirmalyasikdar85@gmail.com; baishakhisen42@yahoo.in)
Shri Nirmalya Sikdar, Founder of Safalaya.com- an Edu-Social Network cum Personal Learning Network after receiving EDP training (DST-NIMAT). It is used by teachers,students, educational institutes to share resources with each other. Teachers and students can create their own Personal Learning Network.URL:http://www.safalaya.com. Currently 41,900 active members are using his network. Main objectives are: (a) teachers can use the website to teach students and study materials can be uploaded (b) students can use the network for group study (iii) educational resources can be shared with other users

Ms Nibedita Mondal
Nibedita Mondal had undergone EDP training (DST-NIMAT) conducted by EDI-Kolkata in Barasat (North 24 Paragana district)in 2014. During the training, she selected mineral water project. She started the unit in the name of M/s Innllah at Barracpore in 2015. Brand name of her product is WINN. She invested about 10 lacs and recenly receved Mudra loan of Rs.50,000/ from SBI, Suili branch. Yearly turn over is about 7 lacs. She now wants to expand her business by installing modern machinaries.

Smt. Nilima Sen (nilimaboutique@gmail.com)
M/s. Nilima Sen’s Computerized Embroidery Boutique Smt. Nilima Sen had undergone a 6-week Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) conducted by Enterprise Development Institute in Krishnagar (Nadia district) in 2009. After that she started her computerized embroidery business in the name of M/s. Nilima Sen’s Computerized Embroidery Boutique at Ranaghat (Kabi Nabin Chandra Sarani, Court Para, Ranaghat, Nadia- 741201) in October 2010. She had taken Rs. 25 lakhs bank loan from Ranaghat Branch of State Bank of India. Smt. Sen has many entrepreneurial qualities and within 3 years turnover of her units exceeds Rs. 50-00 Lakhs. 20 workers are now working in her unit. As an expansion drive, she has installed two more computerized embroidery machines.

Mrs. Baishakhi Sen
EDI has been organizing Export-Import Management Training. Smt Baishakhi Sen received a 6-week Export-Import Training organized by our Institute. She started a manufacturing and exporting unit of leather bags, wallets etc. in the name of M/s. Baishakhi Crafts (32/7, Phool Bagan Road, Ganguly Bagan East, Kolkata- 70086) in August 2009. The current sales turnover of her unit is more than one core rupees. She participated in some International Fair with her leather products like Bengal Sammelan -2012 in Atlanta Las Vega, Singapore Bengali fair in 2012, Overseas Fair at London at Harrow Lessiure Centre in 2011 and London Pous Parban Festival in 2011. 18 workers are working in her export-oriented unit. She opened Retail Counter at Kolkata (Raja S C Mallick Road, Pin- 70047) in 2011. She also takes sessions in Entrepreneurship Motivation Programme organized by EDI for sharing experience. She participated in the EDI Entrepreneurs Pavilion set up on the occasion of Industrial India Trade Fair organized by BNCCI

Smt Rupa Dasgupta (rishan.rupanjali@gmail.com)
Smt Rupa Dasgupta had undergone a 6-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme conducted by Enterprise Development Institute in 2011. She started “RUPANJALI BOUTIQUE’ in 2008 (C-23/11 EKT Phase-IV MANJULIKA-B, KOLKATA-700107). This unit is the manufacturer of different embroidery products, hand print in sarees, scarves and other items. The production unit is located in Kalyani Industrial Estate. It exports cushion cover, jackets and vests products to Germany. It also supplies to domestic markets and exporter as per their requirements. Annual turnover of the firm is Rs. 40-00 lakhs. She attended 36th Salaam International Trade Fair 2012, Tanzania. She is going to participate Import-Export Fair at Kunming, China scheduled to be held from 6th June to 11th June 2013.

Ms. Sabita Manna (myselffruna@gmail.com)
Sabita was involved in her father’s textile printing business. After joining Fashion Design Course in EDI in 2010, she was motivated to start her own textile printing unit and started textile printing production centre namely, Runa ‘Z in Serampore and got EM-II in 2012. Scope of work covers printing & painting on silk & cotton fabric, tie & dye and block printing. She mainly provides services to different order suppliers and whole sellers engaged in textile sector. Ms. Sabita Manna, an energetic young woman entrepreneur did 2 years Certificate Course in Textile Designing from Biswa Bharati. She also imparts practical training in Batik Printing organised by EDI-Kolkata. Turnover of the unit is about Rs.6-00 lakhs. 6 persons are working.

Smt Swagata Ghosh (swagataghosh36@gmail.com)
Smt Swagata Ghosh received Training of Trainers Training (TOT) from Enterprise Development Institute. She has been successfully running her Batik Printing unit ` KALAP’ in Howrah (36, Shastri Narendranath Ganguly Road, P.0- Santragachi, Howrah- 711104, West Bengal). Annual turnover of her unit is about 9-00 Lakhs. She has been supplying products to some exporters. 65 workers are working in this registered unit. She participated in many State and National-level Fairs in India. She visited Singapore for business purpose.

Ms. Sikha Das is pursuing one-year Diploma Course in Travel & Tourism organized by Enterprise Development Institute (EDI) jointly with Netaji Subhas Open University. Before completion of Travel & Tourism Course, she started travel & tourism business in the name of `Green Channel’ at Kolkata (21, 1st Road, East Empark, Santoshpur, Kolkata- 700075). She has been organizing packaged tour for various locations in India. Her firm is also doing other works like air ticket booking, hotel booking etc. Annual turnover of the firm is Rs. 10-00 lakhs.

Ms Shaswati Saha (shaswatisaha.81@gmail.com)
Ms. Shaswati Saha had undergone Entrepreneurship Development Programme conducted by Enterprise Development Institute (EDI) in Krishnanagar (Nadia District). She was a potential women entrepreneur and started a plastic unit M/s Gulmohar Plastic in 2008 as a Haldia Petro-chemicals down-stream industry at Ranaghat (Vill- Hijulybaganbari, P.O- Hijuly, Ranaghat, Dist- Nadia). It manufactures plastic tarpaulin. Annual sales turnover of Gulmohar Plastic is Rs. 2-50 cores. She participated in several management development workshops organised by EDI. 6 nos skilled and 10 unskilled workers are working in her unit. About 2 years back, BNCCI awarded her as a potential entrepreneur at its AGM.

Shri Samiran Nath (infoagesoftware.com)
After completion of ESDBM course, Shri Nath started a partnership Software Firm in 2010. Turnover increased each year and now it comes to Rs.25 lakhs per annum. Besides 3 partners, this firm has 10 employees. Some of the reputed clients are Technocon Services, Radiant Advertising, Virtuso Agro, Alfa Elmech Technology, Century Thread ltd etc. Core areas of services: Inventory, Payroll, assets management, Cold storage management, Production Management and others. Annual turnover- Rs.25-00 lakh aprox

Shri Anirban Debnath (pistpl.nowfloats.com; pistpl.india@gmail.com)
Shri Anirban Debnath is an information security auditor who received EDP (DST-NIMAT) training organised by EDI in 2014. After the training, he started ‘Proinnovasys Technologies Pvt Ltd’ as the founder CEO. His product `Surity’ has got very good response from different schools in India and Bangladesh. It is nothing but student security and FRID based WiFi enabled electronic identity card with self-application in various mobile platform. By this security device a parent can check their wards’ current location and educational entities ensuring their ward’s safety. Shri Debnath was awarded by the State Government for formulating one of the best innovative business plans and received Rs.1-lac cash award. His business plan was telecast in G Bangla TV by the state government to motivate young entrepreneurs. He is taking session in our EDP and EAC for motivating trainees.

Md. Abu Safdar
After joining the Travel & tourism Course, Md. Abu Safdar started knight Riders Tour & Travels and achieved a steady growth within a few years. Annual turnover exceeds 50 lakhs and 7 employees are working. Two personnel who received same Travel & Tourism Course from EDI are now working in his firm. His firm was appointed by Western Union as authorized customer service point. It is authorized to book E-tickets by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation. It has membership with Travel Agents Association of Bengal. Knight Riders Tours and Travels has got registered trade mark for its name and logo. Annual turn over: Rs 55 lakhs

Shri Suparna Kanti Samanta – a Defence personnel (sumanasamanata1780@gmail.com)
He took certificate course in travel and tourism – organised by EDI with NSOU and sponsored by Directorate of Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. He successfully started an Educational Institute M/s. Arya Edutech in Paschim Medinipore. He is the Managing Director of the Institute. This instates provides training in child abacus, mid brain activation, hand writing, yoga, art & crafts, computer training and some training for job seekers like, customer care executive, account executive, IBPS and competitive exam preparation. Annual turnover is Ra.14 lakhs and 12 staffs are working in his institute.
